The Company
The Company is: Absorb Software UK Ltd. (“Absorb”)
The Giveaway
These Official Rules (“Rules”) govern the Absorb Learning Technologies 2025 Conference Giveaway (the “Giveaway”). Eligible entrants will have the chance to win swag (cool Absorb-branded merchandise like t-shirts, tote bags, notebooks, or other goodies). By entering the Giveaway, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.
How to Enter
- The competition will run during the Learning Technologies Conference in London, England (the “Conference”) from April 23, 2025 (the "Opening Date") to April 24, 2025 at the end of the Conference (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
- All entries must be received by Absorb in-person at the Conference no later than the end of the Conference on the Closing Date. All entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
- To enter the Giveaway participants must complete all of the following steps:
- Step 1: On April 22, 2025, Absorb will post conference booth details on LinkedIn (the “April 22 Post”). Participants must repost the published April 22 Post prior to the beginning of the Conference.
- Step 2: Visit the Absorb booth at the Conference on April 23 or 24, 2025.
- Step 3: Show a representative of Absorb proof of participants repost of the April 22 Post on LinkedIn.
- Step 4: Allow Absorb to verify participant’s LinkedIn profile and log participation.
- Entries that fail to meet all of these requirements will not be eligible for a giveaway item.
- Entries must comply with all LinkedIn terms of use.
- Entries must be made personally by the entrant; entries made by automated means, third parties, or syndicated entries are not permitted.
- Only one (1) entry per person is permitted. Any attempt to submit multiple entries may result in disqualification.
- No purchase necessary and there is no charge to enter.
- Absorb will not accept responsibility for giveaway entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
- By submitting a giveaway entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Rules.
Eligibility
- The Giveaway is only open to:
- All residents in the UK aged 18 years or over.
- In-person attendees of the Conference.
- Have an active LinkedIn account.
- Exclusions:
- employees of the Absorb or its holding or subsidiary companies;
- employees of agents or suppliers of Absorb or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Giveaway or its administration; or
- members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
- In entering the Giveaway, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Absorb may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Giveaway.
- Absorb will not accept Giveaway entries that are:
- automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
- completed by third parties or in bulk;
- illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
- photocopies, screenshots or not originals.
- There is a limit of one entry to the Giveaway per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted, and joint submissions are not allowed.
- Absorb reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Giveaway.
Giveaway Period
- The Giveaway will run from April 23, 2025, to April 24, 2025 or until all 50 prizes have been claimed, whichever occurs first.
- Entries must be received in person by Absorb no later than the end of the Conference on the Closing Date. Any entries received after this time will be automatically disqualified.
The Prize
- Number of Prizes: There are 50 prizes available, and each entrant is eligible for only one (1) prize.
- Prize Distribution:
- Prizes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Once all 50 prizes have been claimed, the Giveaway automatically ends.
- No Cash Alternative: The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash or alternative prize will be offered.
- Collection: Prizes must be collected in person at the Absorb booth during the Conference. Unclaimed prizes will not be held or shipped.
- Prizes are subject to availability.
Winners
- Absorb will log all entrants and confirm winners of the Giveaway at the point of entry. Prizes will be shared with all the first 50 entrants who qualify under these Rules.
- The decision of Absorb is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
General Terms
- Limitation of Liability. Insofar as is permitted by law, Absorb, its affiliates and their agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Absorb, its affiliate and their agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Verification. Absorb reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants, including checking the authenticity of their LinkedIn repost. If an entry is found to be fraudulent, the participant will be disqualified without notice.
- Ownership of Competition Entries and Intellectual Property Rights. All entries and any accompanying material submitted to Absorb will become the property of Absorb on receipt and will not be returned.
- Data Protection and Publicity. Absorb will only process your personal information as set out in the Absorb Privacy Policy available here: https://www.absorblms.com/support/privacy-policy/ See also condition 5 with regard to the announcement of winners.
- Announcement of Winners. By participating, entrants agree that Absorb may use their LinkedIn username for promotional purposes related to this Giveaway.
- If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Rules, Absorb may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Giveaway.
- Absorb reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize Giveaway where it becomes necessary to do so.
- These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this Giveaway wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
